Wayward Cave: The Hidden Home of Gible and Gabite

For Pokémon trainers seeking to add Gible and its evolved form, Gabite, to their team, there's no better place to start than the Wayward Cave in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. This hidden cave is home to a rare breed of dragon-shark Pokémon that can be caught with a little bit of effort and exploration.

To reach the Wayward Cave, trainers will need to head to Route 206, specifically underneath the Cycling Road Bridge. There's a small chance - about 15% - that Gible will appear in this area. Once you've arrived at the cave, you'll find yourself in a square area of dirt with three ramps leading up and two slopes that can be ridden using your bike.

After navigating the initial obstacles, you'll need to use your Strength stat to push a rock blocking your path forward. What appears to be a solid wall on-screen is actually a secret cave opening that can only be accessed by walking forward. Ignore this opening for now and instead head left until you're underneath the bridge.

From here, follow the grassy path along the right side of the tunnel until you reach a clearing. Make a sharp right turn after exiting the tunnel and use HM Cut to clear away any trees blocking your way. Ride down to the end of Cycling Road before heading back to Eterna City and taking the South Exit to Route 206.

However, before you can access Route 206, you'll need to defeat Gym Leader Byron to unlock the path. After doing so, follow these steps to catch Gible:

1. Travel to the Lost Tower and find the Old Lady NPC on the fifth floor.

2. Defeat her in battle to obtain HM Cut.

3. Use HM Cut to clear away any trees blocking your way along the right side of the tunnel.

4. Ride down to the end of Cycling Road and head back to Route 206.

Gible is still found in the same location as before, but trainers will need to wait until they've defeated the sixth Gym in Canalave City to catch it. Even the Sinnoh Champion recognizes the power of Garchomp, a powerful Dragon-type Pokémon that can be obtained by evolving Gible into Gabite.
